About the Role
BURN is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to take full ownership of business performance within an assigned region. The successful candidate will oversee commercial operations, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, profitability, and regional growth for the company’s electric cooking business.
The role will lead regional commercial operations across the Alpha 1, Stock Point, and Retention functions while ensuring disciplined execution, strong operational controls, and sustainable business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive overall regional business performance across all assigned channels and clusters.
- Execute regional commercial strategies aligned with national business growth objectives.
- Deliver sustainable sales growth through effective field execution, improved agent productivity, and channel expansion.
- Manage regional profitability through efficient utilization of people, inventory, operational resources, and cost controls.
- Drive customer acquisition, quality onboarding, repayment efficiency (RE), product usage, and customer retention.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience by proactively resolving issues and collaborating closely with Customer Experience (CX) and Aftersales teams.
- Lead, coach, and manage the performance of Sales Team Leaders (STLs), Team Leaders (TLs), Clerks, Retention Representatives, and field sales agents.
- Build and develop high-performing field teams through structured recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and continuous capability development.
- Promote execution excellence through structured reviews, planned journey plans (PJPs), reporting routines, and accountability frameworks.
- Oversee all regional stock management and operational control processes, including:
- Stock accountability
- Daily reconciliations
- Stock ageing management
- Stock redistribution planning
- SAH monitoring
- Loss prevention controls
- Ensure efficient operations across stock points, field installations, customer support, and regional logistics.
- Identify commercial opportunities, operational gaps, and business risks, implementing timely corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, governance standards, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with Commercial Operations, Customer Experience, Aftersales, Finance, Supply Chain, and other support teams.
- Manage and escalate critical business risks, including fraud, stock losses, operational inefficiencies, customer quality concerns, and compliance issues.
- Provide leadership with accurate reports, business insights, performance analysis, and recovery plans.
- Continuously monitor regional performance and implement initiatives that improve productivity, execution quality, and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in field sales management.
- Experience managing geographically distributed sales teams within the FMCG, PAYGO, energy, or telecommunications
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-channel sales operations.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Proven success in driving sales performance, repayment efficiency, and customer usage.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
- Strong execution discipline with a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience overseeing stock integrity and field operations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure business environment.
