About the Role

Jacaranda Health is looking for an experienced Product Research Manager to lead high-impact research that informs digital health products and programs. This mid- to senior-level role is ideal for someone skilled in user experience (UX) research, mixed-methods evaluation, and translating data into actionable insights.

You will guide research across the full product lifecycle—from early testing to large-scale implementation—ensuring solutions are effective, equitable, and sustainable. Working closely with Product, Data, Tech, and Program teams, you will help answer critical questions about what works, for whom, and why.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Learning & UX Research

·         Design and execute user research embedded in product development

·         Use analytics, experimentation, and user feedback to improve performance and experience

·         Translate insights into practical product improvements

2. Implementation Research & Strategy

·         Lead mixed-methods research to assess real-world impact and scalability

·         Generate insights that inform product iteration, partnerships, and growth

·         Ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting

3. Leadership & Collaboration

·         Mentor and guide research teams

·         Communicate findings clearly to internal teams, leadership, donors, and partners

·         Collaborate across departments to drive evidence-based decision-making

Requirements

·         Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field

·         5–8+ years in applied, product, or UX research

·         Strong experience with qualitative and mixed-methods research

·         Proficiency in tools such as R or STATA

·         Ability to translate research into product and program decisions

Contract Details

·         One-year renewable contract

·         Location: Nairobi
