Airtel Kenya has introduced a referral programme that rewards users with up to Ksh100 for every new customer they bring onto the MyAirtel App, as part of efforts to drive uptake and engagement on its digital platform.
Under the “Refer and Earn” campaign, users receive Ksh20 monthly in their Airtel Money wallet for each friend they invite, paid over five months. To qualify for each payout, the referred user must transact at least Ksh100 monthly through the app, specifically by purchasing airtime or data bundles. This means a single referral can generate a total of Ksh100, while referring 50 active users could earn up to Ksh5,000.
The programme is open to all Airtel Kenya subscribers aged 18 and above. Customers can participate by sharing a unique referral link or code via platforms such as WhatsApp, earning rewards once new users download and register on the app.
To further attract sign-ups, new users are rewarded with 1GB of free data upon registration, adding an immediate benefit to joining the platform.
Beyond referrals, the MyAirtel App also offers exclusive deals, including discounted data bundles and bonus airtime when topping up via Airtel Money. These in-app offers are designed to give users added value while managing their mobile services.
