ICRAF Opens Applications for Short-Term Undergraduate Internship Programme

The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) has opened applications for a short-term internship programme targeting undergraduate students seeking hands-on experience in research and development, with a particular focus on agroforestry.

The internship, which runs for a period of up to six months, offers successful candidates an opportunity to work closely with ICRAF scientists or management professionals on ongoing research and development projects. At the end of the programme, interns will be required to submit a project report as part of the learning and evaluation process.

The programme is open to undergraduate students from both developing and developed countries. ICRAF has encouraged female students to apply as part of its commitment to gender inclusivity and equal opportunity.

Interested applicants are required to submit their applications online in English through the ICRAF Student Management Information System.

To be considered for the internship, applicants must complete the Fellowship and Internship application form and submit a recent curriculum vitae or résumé. They are also required to provide a support letter from their university or college confirming current enrolment and expected graduation date, as well as official academic transcripts for their most recent qualification.

In addition, applicants must submit a motivation letter outlining their interest in the internship, a brief research proposal, and a statement indicating their availability and source of funding to cover transport, accommodation, and food expenses.
