Position: Senior Risk & Compliance Officer – AML
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Nairobi
Education Required: BA/BSc/HND in Business, Finance, or related field
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Risk & Compliance

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our Risk & Compliance initiatives, ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of regulatory and statutory adherence. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems, driving a culture of compliance, and safeguarding the organization against financial crime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks related to money laundering (ML) and terrorist financing (TF).
  • Conduct STR evaluations and serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities.
  • Perform audits and root cause analyses to verify adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Design and maintain internal control frameworks, promoting a strong compliance culture across all branches.
  • Manage sanctions screening (e.g., OFAC, UN lists) and prepare detailed risk reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with KYC/AML requirements, including accurate reporting of STRs and CTRs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Banking Risk, Compliance, or AML/CFT programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in KYC/AML processes, STR/CTR reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial information effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
