Job Title: Senior Business Development Officer – Pensions

Job Purpose
The role is responsible for driving growth in segregated pension business by acquiring new clients, onboarding schemes into Umbrella Fund Segregated solutions, and actively pursuing tender opportunities. The position also ensures compliance with Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA) guidelines and NSSF Tier II requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Client Acquisition
- Identify and onboard new corporate pension clients
- Build strong relationships with trustees, HR leaders, and high-net-worth individuals
- Deliver compelling proposals and achieve sales targets
- Segregated Business & Onboarding
- Facilitate onboarding into segregated and umbrella schemes
- Support compliance with statutory pension requirements
- Coordinate with fund managers and administrators
- Tenders & Institutional Business
- Track and respond to pension and asset management tenders
- Prepare and submit high-quality proposals
- Build networks with procurement and institutional stakeholders
- Market Strategy & Growth
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis
- Develop strategies for market expansion
- Product Development & Promotion
- Support development of pension products
- Partner with marketing teams on campaigns and client education

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related field
- Professional certifications (CFA, CISI, or pension-related) are an added advantage
- 3–5 years’ experience in pensions, asset management, or financial services
- Proven experience in tendering and institutional business development
