Position Summary
The Finance Systems Assistant will support the Finance Systems Specialist in managing financial and administrative tasks, coordinating daily operations, and contributing to the development of financial procedures and controls. This role also provides secondary support for Salesforce system management.
Key Responsibilities
Sage Intacct Management
- Act as a secondary point of contact for Sage Intacct issues.
- Assist in opening/closing periods and monitoring daily system use.
- Support senior finance staff and departmental managers with system-related queries.
- Help prepare training materials and deliver sessions for finance and non-finance users.
- Collaborate on designing and monitoring reports, maintaining user accounts, and adjusting permissions.
- Assist with budgeting, general ledger transactions, import/export of data, and audit-related reporting.
Salesforce Management
- Serve as secondary contact for Salesforce issues, supporting the Salesforce Administrator.
- Assist with user account setup, training, monitoring entries, project close-outs, and report generation.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant field; IT certification is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Sage Intacct is advantageous.
- Familiarity with accounting standards (IFRS) and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
