Job Description

ACRE Africa is looking for a creative and driven Communications Officer to lead impactful storytelling across agriculture, climate resilience, and risk management initiatives. This role focuses on producing compelling content that highlights the organization’s work while strengthening digital presence and brand visibility.

The successful candidate will support integrated, multi-channel communication strategies by developing high-quality written materials such as blog posts, reports, newsletters, press releases, internal updates, and impact stories. Working closely with program teams, the officer will translate technical field activities into engaging narratives tailored for diverse audiences, ensuring all outputs align with brand guidelines.

The role also involves strong visual storytelling. Responsibilities include designing graphics for digital and print platforms, producing infographics that simplify complex data, and maintaining brand consistency across materials. Photography and videography are central to the position, requiring the capture and editing of high-quality images and videos during field visits, corporate events, and campaigns. The officer will also manage a well-organized digital asset library.

In addition, the position supports digital and social media engagement across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, monitors performance metrics, and contributes to campaign optimization. Event coverage, live content capture, and post-event dissemination are equally important.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Multimedia, Graphic Design, or a related field, with at least three years’ relevant experience. Strong writing, multimedia production, and organizational skills are essential.

ACRE Africa empowers farmers across the continent with innovative risk mitigation solutions that address climate-related challenges, advancing sustainable agriculture and resilience.
