Job Description

We are seeking motivated, field-oriented professionals to support youth empowerment, agribusiness development, and farmer training initiatives across multiple regions. The following positions are open to both internal and external applicants:

 

  1. Field Youth Officer (Kilifi & Kwale) – B2F Level

Posts: 2 (1 Kilifi, 1 Kwale)
Reports to: Youth Officer

The Field Youth Officer will lead youth mobilization, selection, and engagement within assigned clusters. Key responsibilities include coordinating transparent outreach and selection processes, maintaining continuous communication with youth, supporting training needs identification, tracking training progress using digital tools (e.g., ODK, WhatsApp), and supporting youth to develop and implement simple agribusiness plans. The role also involves monitoring youth performance, documenting success stories, and overseeing distribution of youth small packs.

Requirements: Diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Social Sciences, or related field; experience in youth engagement or field-based work; strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently in rural settings.

 

  1. Training Officer – B2 Level

Posts: 1

This role focuses on designing and delivering high-quality farmer trainings, including Training of Trainers (ToTs). The officer will provide technical leadership, supervise small teams, and promote the FIPS approach in farmer engagement.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field; 2–3 years’ hands-on farmer training experience; proven ToT experience; strong leadership, facilitation, and analytical skills.

 

  1. Training Support Assistant – B3 Level

Posts: 3

The Training Support Assistant will support training delivery, logistics coordination, data collection, reporting, and basic impact assessments.

Requirements: Agricultural background; experience working with farmers; strong digital literacy (MS Office, online platforms); good communication and facilitation skills.

 

  1. Youth and Social Inclusion Officer (East & Coast) – B3 Level

Posts: 1

This role supports youth-focused agribusiness interventions, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and documentation.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field; minimum 2 years’ experience working with rural youth; willingness to spend significant time in the field.
