About Global Innovation Fund (GIF)

The Global Innovation Fund (GIF) is a non-profit supporting innovations that improve lives and protect the planet at scale. Founded in 2013 by the U.K. and U.S. governments, GIF invests in early-stage to large-scale innovations across public and private sectors in developing countries. GIF provides grants, loans, and equity-style investments ranging from $230,000 to $15 million to fund solutions with proven social impact potential.

Headquartered in London, GIF also operates offices in Nairobi, Singapore, and Washington D.C., and works with private companies, NGOs, academics, and governments.

Role Overview

GIF is seeking a Senior Manager, Partnerships to drive fundraising and donor engagement. Reporting to the Senior Managing Director of Partnerships, the role sits within the Partnerships and Communications Team and collaborates closely with the CEO, board, and colleagues across Impact and Analytics.

The successful candidate will support GIF’s 2025+ strategy by:

• Identifying and engaging new donors, including foundations, HNWIs, corporations, and governments.
• Developing proposals, briefs, and presentations to secure funding partnerships.
• Ensuring communications effectively represent GIF’s work, impact, and priorities.

Fundraising focus: 80% | Communications: 20%

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years relevant to fundraising and partnership management.
• Proven track record securing high-value funding (5–6 figure) and managing donor relationships internationally.
• Strong communication, organisational, and project management skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to social innovation and international development.

Desirable: Experience raising investment income and familiarity with innovation/impact investment sectors.
