Applications Open for Year-Long Youth Mentorship Program by The Greener Future Workshop

The Greener Future Workshop has launched applications for its comprehensive year-long mentorship and career development program aimed at empowering young Africans—particularly recent graduates and early-stage professionals seeking clarity and direction in their career paths. The initiative comes at a time when access to career guidance remains limited despite Africa’s rapidly growing youth population.

With over 70% of sub-Saharan Africa’s population under the age of 30, structured professional support is increasingly essential. A 2024 regional survey found that more than half of young Africans lack awareness of critical career skills, while 92% expressed a strong desire for mentorship in areas such as leadership, personal development, and long-term career strategy. The Greener Future Workshop aims to fill this gap by equipping youth with the tools, confidence, and networks they need to thrive.

About the Program
The program begins with a three-day virtual workshop bringing together 30 selected participants for intensive training led by six experienced development experts. The sessions will introduce leadership principles, career planning tools, and self-discovery frameworks essential for early-career growth. Following the workshop, participants embark on a structured one-year mentorship journey featuring small cohort guidance, periodic check-ins, and access to exclusive learning resources and development materials.

By the end of the program, participants are expected to gain clearer career direction, build confidence, and strengthen the foundational skills required for professional success—whether in employment, entrepreneurship, or community leadership.
