Role Overview
The Research Intern will join the Research and Innovation team, supporting research projects such as MSF’s Scientific Days and activities of the Manson Unit. The position offers exposure to research design, knowledge sharing, and innovation in humanitarian contexts. Interns are encouraged to contribute creative ideas to strengthen the organisation’s research impact.

Key Details

  • Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday
  • Contract: 12-month fixed-term
  • Location: London, hybrid (80% office attendance)
  • Salary: £27,007.50 per annum (London Living Wage)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating and streamlining MSF’s research processes
  • Support research outputs, data management, and event coordination
  • Contribute to projects aimed at improving operational practices and knowledge dissemination

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Academic & Research Foundations:

  • Degree in a scientific or related field
  • Familiarity with research processes and global health issues
  • Interest in humanitarian work

Communication & Organisational Skills:

  • Strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret briefs and work independently or collaboratively

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Yammer)
  • Knowledge of research study lifecycle and ethical requirements is an advantage
